Shra-Kalim, like most githyanki, was tall and gaunt, with yellow skin and somewhat reptilian features. He often wore his black hair in a topknot, said little, and wore a dour expression. Shra-Kalim was an accomplished swordmaster - proving to be quite the match even for Greylord, Jason, and Thofalcon.
Along with his lover, Skiba, the elven arcane archer, Shra-Kalim served as an Iron Ring enforcer. As such, he was directly under Iron Ring overlord Oni-Maho who often used Shra-Kalim to accomplish any number of nefarious tasks. As Oni-Maho's personal servant, Shra-Kalim also worked closely with the Giordanni Family often supervising or assisting in their operations ensuring for his master's sake that everything would go according to plan. This direct involvement often put him directly in the path of the Azrai as Shra-Kalim was often responsible for shipments of Silverweed and Godsblood (see Episode: The Search for Silverweed). Moreover, it was Shra-Kalim that stood in the way when the Azrai turned in some vouchers to retrieve the prototype Dream Machine from Oni-Maho's Manor (see Episode: The Mezzio and Giordanni). Although killed by Thofalcon in this encounter, he appeared again with the Eschaton while trying to reclaim Aram Oakwright. Greylord and Pheodora ensured this was the final encounter with Shra-Kalim (see Episode: When Frost Doth Grow on Clave's Bell).
After his death, the soul of Shra-Kalim was captured by Pheodora in a soul-cage. When Pheodora wanted the soul-cage cleared for other purposes, Otto procured a gem to transfer Shra-Kalim's soul, which is where it now resides. Otto and members of the Mezzio Family, most notably Ithast Mezzio, make weekly meetings to ask the spirit of Shra-Kalim questions about Giordanni or Iron Ring operations.
