Talk:The Keys to the Multiverse
From The Hub
This page pretty much spells out the game. So if daddy gave you The Keys to the Multiverse how would you remake the world? Leave your comment here. Grey 15:55, 13 January 2008 (EST)
The benefits we attempt to get from the ritual could be immense. Isn't that the theory of how the Lady took over Sigil. We need to be wary of someone taking over the ritual (or the minds of those involved). I think we should agree on what is done. Maybe even set rules for what could be wished for so that we don't all end up with ten foot penises, or breasts, or something. We have to avoid a "White Elephant" which so many cautionary tales talk of. The key in those stories is that you can't be greedy about it.
Maybe there are some questions we should ask ourselves. The biggest two seem to be: Should we bring the Lady back or start a new one? (or something else) and How much should we give ourselves power? I am very frightened by giving ourselves too much power because how do we know it will remain in our hands?
My remake of the world:
1. Peace in Sigil, the Spire, the Outlands, the Gatetowns and all Prime Material Planes. This will be achieved by giving all the sentient beings empathy for one another. All races will agree to a cease-fire, enforced by all races uniting against any who violates this. A central government will exist in Sigil, but most realms will retain near complete autonomy. The only two functions of the central government will be enforcing the cease-fire by organizing armies and policing the capital city. (If this was effective than the game would be over or we'd only fight non-sentient monsters)--Geoff 16:42, 18 January 2008 (EST)
A decent start would be to force all the demons and devils (and ugoloths for that matter) back into the infernus. Grey 12:13, 19 January 2008 (EST)
OK, that's some of the power we will give ourselves. What about the Lady? What about other powers? How much should we limit the power of deammons and devils?--Geoff 09:47, 20 January 2008 (EST)
I just want to throw in that if the ritual, in the end, just turns the multiverse as we know into a holodeck ethereal chamber thing where we can do whatever we want, then the ritual has my vote for my least favorite Macguffin of all freaking time. Also if we make Linear Metagenesis then I would like a pony. Z-Ro 01:37, 21 January 2008 (EST)
This will allow us to convert to 4e since we all know certain classes will be screwed, probably watch detective and knight of the chalice. I just remember going from 2.5 to 3 and loosing Darius' ability to walk on sand without leaving footprints, but gaining much more. As long as the rules don't get rid of the demon war. (If they do, we don't care.)--Geoff 08:52, 31 January 2008 (EST)
Failed???
- Au contraire mon frere, the artists rendition is spot on. The Staff of Aoskar totally looks exactly like that.
